Our Partners and Funders
CWC partners with city and county agencies, private and community foundations, resource conservation districts, local water departments and agencies, university researchers, professional laboratories and public schools. We preserve and protect coastal watersheds by focusing on water quality issues, offering water quality monitoring services and technical assistance to public agencies and researchers in the region. CWC designs and delivers watershed curricula for all ages of youth, in both classroom and field-based learning environments. We also deliver informal education to youth and adults and promote the adoption of best management practices of watershed stewardship by all citizens.
CWC is a member of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Citizen Watershed Monitoring Network, the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Conservation Working Group, and partners with members of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Water Quality Protection Program. CWC also keeps abreast of state and federal watershed conservation efforts and policy reforms and works with existing conservation organizations to develop educational and outreach materials on local watersheds.
